AtlantiCare announces partnerships, will stress community, education

ATLANTIC CITY — A health system based near the South Jersey shore wants to make a splash with aggressive plans for growth.

AtlantiCare will use new relationships — with a Midwestern cancer center and a Philadelphia medical school, for instance — to expand services and draw new patients, the organization’s top executive has announced.

But that’s just part of a six-year program called Vision 2030, according to Michael Charlton, AtlantiCare’s president and CEO.

The health system wants to double annual revenues to $2 billion and increase market share by 5 percent to an undisclosed level.
