The House Ways and Means Committee late Friday released an additional tranche of its portion of Democrats’ $3.5 trillion social spending package, covering a wide range of issues such as the child tax credit, infrastructure financing, clean energy incentives and health care. Aurora to begin mental health responder program similar to Denver’s | Focus on Denver
Aurora will launch a program Wednesday similar to Denver’s that sends a medical first responder with a mental health professional on 9-1-1 calls that do not require a police presence. Denverite reports the program will only operate from Wednesday to Saturday between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. It is a pilot program lasting six months at a price tag of $160,000.
